The Unique Educational Institution, Alhamdulillah, provides children excellent quality education and facilities for their overall development. They are taught moral values and various skills to face the dynamic challenges and opportunities of life with care, confidence and self- discipline


UEI has English as a medium of instruction. In addition to formal subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Environmental Sciences; Geography and Information Technology are also taught. The curriculum also includes the subjects of Islamic Studies like Arabic Language, Hadith Studies, Tafseer, Tajweed, Qirah, Hifz of the Quran and Seerah of the Prophet.(PBUH).


Dedicated and well-qualified teachers for all subjects, including those for Islamic studies subjects are present to serve the children.


This School provides a conducive environment in which the students can learn, understand and practice their ‘Way of Life’ – Islam, as they strive for excellence in subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, History , Environmental Sciences, Geography, Information Technology and others. It tries to mould the student’s personality according to the righteous Islamic tenants and inculcates in them the values and concepts of caring, sharing and being just for truth and universal brotherhood to prevail.

Profile and Overview

Education is all about development of mental skills, creativity, imagination, reasoning and personality. Nations are made in classrooms; civilizations are built on philosophies which have a holistic approach to the art of living and dying. New millennium is witnessing a radical change in science and technology. This has a direct effect on revolutionizing the education sector.
Rapid advances in technologies have made education a key to professional success and human resource development. The outdated existing educational system has failed to shape the value based human society and has in fact resulted in the erosion of human values. Nor has purely religious education created a society which could stand the test of times. The declining moral standards in personal and public life has resulted in a growing concern for value education.

Only a true blend of modern scientific and Islamic education imparted by a committed faculty can change the present scenario. Being conscious of the fact that education is the main instrument for development and social change and that the intellectual excellence, dynamism and prosperity are reflected in the quality of education imparted in the class rooms, some well wishers of the village Duroo have constituted a “Fallah-e-Millat” Educational Society to groom the young generation to face the new challenges of the new millennium through education.

To realize these objectives the residents of the village Duroo voluntarily dedicated and donated 6.2 acres of land for the construction of an educational institute of higher standards. In this context the foundation of the “Unique Educational Institute” Duroo Sopore was laid on Sunday the 8th August, 2004.

Duroo village is a well populated, centrally placed small hamlet of Zainagair constituency surrounded by a cluster of about 40 villages with a total population of about 1.30 lacs. It is situated 62 Kms north of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir and only 7 kms northeast of Apple Town Sopore. Its vast expanse of paddy fields is irrigated by the famous Zainagair canal built in 1932. The “Unique Educational Institute” Duroo Sopore is coming up in 2 phases on an expanse of about 57 canals of Land. The main aim is to equip young generation with the latest scientific and technological knowhow on the one hand and make them acquainted with the puritanical Islamic teachings based on the Quran and sunnah, on the other. Sincere efforts are going to be made to impart integrated modern scientific and religious education.
